Nottingham Pest Control careers fair success

Member story | BPCA online

On Friday 16 March 2018, Nottingham based company NPC Pest Prevention Solutions attended one of the Midlands largest jobs fairs.

The fair was held at the prestigious Pride Park Stadium in Derby, home to Derby County football team and the BPCA offices.

Mr Paul Swift (Managing Director), Damian Widdowson (Operations Manager), Sharon Mason (Marketing and National Accounts Manager), Steve Cornwall (Service Supervisor), and Kevin Gardiner (Technical Manager)

The event attracted companies from all sectors including Toyota, JCB, DHL and Coors, to name a few, and was the first attempt from the Nottingham based company to look for new staff from outside the industry.

With over 600 potential job seekers attending on the day, we expected to come away from the event with a number of CV’s to cover a variety of roles within the organisation.

Managing Director Paul Swift added:

NPC were specifically interested in recruiting for Pest Prevention Surveyors.  However, as an expanding company, many other roles were also discussed with those attending, such as Technicians, Field Biologists and administration staff.”

Paul added:

“While this was the first jobs fair undertaken by NPC Pest Prevention Solutions, the consensus from the team manning the stand was that this type of interactive recruitment, organised by Damian Widdowson, was ideal and an outstanding success.”

The NPC team were also supported with resources for the event by Killgerm and BPCA.

The professional and experienced NPC team have further jobs fairs planned in the future for this ever-expanding company within the pest prevention industry.
