Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pest Controller to join our team, specializing in bird proofing and general pest control services. This role requires someone comfortable working at heights and capable of delivering professional pest management solutions across our service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pest control treatments for rats, mice, insects, rabbits, pigeons, gulls, bed bugs, cockroaches, clothes moths, and ants
• Perform bird proofing installations and maintenance at various heights
• Carry out wasp nest treatments and heat treatments as required
• Conduct thorough property inspections and risk assessments
• Provide clear consultation to clients on pest management options
• Maintain detailed treatment records and client reports
• Ensure all work complies with UK pest control regulations and wildlife management laws
• Operate and maintain pest control equipment safely and effectively
• Respond to emergency callouts when required.

Essential Requirements

• Must be comfortable working at heights - Essential for bird proofing work
• Valid UK driving licence (clean driving record preferred)
• Experience in pest control or related field
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills for client interaction
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and callouts
• Must be willing to undergo DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check - for client peace of mind and safeguarding.

Desirable Qualifications

• RSPH/BPCA pest control qualifications (Level 2 or above)
• Experience with bird control systems and proofing techniques
• Working at height certification (PASMA, IPAF, or similar)
• Knowledge of UK pest control legislation and wildlife protection laws
• Previous experience with commercial and residential pest management.
