Description

Pest Control and Washroom Services Technician:

Salary: Basic salary of £24,101 to £28,613 depending on experience and qualifications + likely OTE ranging from £28,000 to £32,000

Location: Manchester/Leeds/Bolton/M62 Corridor

Experience within this field would be strongly preferred however we provide an excellent training programme for inexperienced candidates who have the right attitude and work ethic. This programme will enable you to progress and further your career with us and help you achieve your true potential.

You’ll be at the sharp end of our service for commercial, residential and government properties where you'll be visiting our customers across your area to make inspections and carry out treatments, as well as promoting additional work if the opportunity arises.

Main duties

• Inspect customer premises and provide reports on levels of pest infestation to determine the most effective solution to eradicate the pests – these visits will be a mixture of planned maintenance and reactive/one off jobs.
• Record all visits to customers via our smartphone app (Service Tracker)
• Organise and undertake a programme of treatments using pesticides/non toxic methods to control pests
• Carry out routine maintenance to our range of washroom products
• Any other “ad hoc” duties as required by the needs of the business

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 hrs – 17:00 hrs, however flexibility to meet the needs of the business is essential and therefore overtime is sometimes required - including some late nights/early mornings

Essential criteria

• Full Clean Drivers Licence
• Good communication skills written and verbal - having a confident, robust and attractive personality that will sit well with our customers and our internal team alike
• Basic/good I.T skills – we use smartphone technology to record our daily work
• The ability to work effectively, independently and safely with minimal supervision
• To be methodical and systematic in your approach to work.
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Previous experience within a Customer facing service role
• Good team player

Preferred criteria

• Pest control experience and qualifications (RSPH level 2/equivalent strongly favoured) - we can train you on the washroom equipment – don’t worry!
• Good at D.I.Y – the ability to carry out minor pest proofing works is important
• The ability to spot and actively seek additional sales opportunities and communicate these needs to the customer
