Technical Officer (Gull Control) - Worcester City

Job Overview

This is a new part-time post (18.5 hours) with Worcestershire Regulatory Services (WRS) to assist Worcester City Council and the contracted pest control company to coordinate and deliver the gull control work programme in Worcester. 

Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and articulate individual, with either bird control or relevant customer service experience to join WRS’ Technical Pollution team.  The post holder will liaise with residents, landlords, businesses and Members to identify and reduce the negative impact the presence of gulls have on the city. 

It is envisaged this will be achieved through a variety of methods selected on a case by case basis.  The post holder will primarily work in Worcester city itself with an office base in Kidderminster.  Initially, the post is fixed for a one year period, but we anticipate an additional year to be approved by Worcester City Council in February 2019. 

WRS is a shared service delivering advice and compliance work on behalf of many local authority partners across a wide range of regulatory functions.
