This is an advanced course is aimed at learners who already have experience of root cause analysis techniques in pest control environments, but are looking to develop a more in-depth understanding.

During the half-day course you will cover: 

• Survey techniques
• Root cause analysis tools; five 'whys', fish bone and failure mode analysis.

Overview

The course will use a mix of presentation, breakout sessions and interactive discussions.

Upon completion of the course, delegates will:

• Be able to implement advanced surveying techniques
• Be able to recognise the difference between forms of RCA and understand how best to implement them
• Be able to successfully fill out these forms and be able to concisely deliver them.

Delegates attending should already be qualified to a minimum of Level Two Award in Pest Management (or equivalent) and Certificated Field Biologist level, and have a working knowledge of root cause analysis within pest control environments.

Virtual classroom training by British Pest Control Association

This is a half-day virtual classroom course. 9am to 12.30pm.

The course will use a mix of presentations and interactive sessions.

The course will be delivered as an online classroom training course using the Zoom platform.  As in a classroom environment, candidates will be encouraged to engage in discussions, share experiences and ask questions.

To take part in the session you will need:

• Computer, laptop or tablet
• Internet connection.

Please note: Smartphones will work, however the session is not optimised for very small screens.

Slides from the training will NOT be available so please ensure that you have pens and paper to enable you to take your own notes.

There is no assessment for this course.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a BPCA Certificate of Completion in Root Cause Analysis for Field Biologists.

If you are on BPCA Registered you will earn 3.5 CPD points for completing the course.

If you are on Basis Prompt, you will receive TBC CPD points for completing the course.
