Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bird Proofing Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in bird proofing or pest control, who is looking to take on a leading role. As a Bird Proofing Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing effective bird control strategies and systems, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take on team leadership responsibilities, guiding and mentoring a team of technicians in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain bird proofing systems such as netting, spikes, and other deterrents
• Conduct site assessments as necessary to identify bird-related issues and determine the most appropriate proofing solutions
• Work closely with clients to discuss needs, provide recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and materials used
• Train, mentor, and lead a small team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to company standards and procedures
• Provide guidance on technical issues and safety protocols to ensure smooth team operations
• Assist in managing team schedules, ensuring efficient workflow and meeting deadlines
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and techniques used within the department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bird proofing, pest control, or a related field
• Strong technical knowledge of bird control methods and systems
• Leadership potential with the ability to guide and motivate a team
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel distances by van from day to day
• Flexibility to stay away and work evening or weekends where required
• Pride in ones appearance and workmanship
• Good level of physically fitness
• Professional and courteous attitude to clients at all times
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities
• Positive, flexible and a can do attitude
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
