Role Purpose:
As a sales surveyor, your primary focus will be driving new business opportunities while nurturing existing local client relationships. You’ll work closely with our clients to identify their unique pest control needs, present tailored solutions, and secure contracts. This role requires a strong understanding of the UK pest control market and the regulatory environment surrounding pest management. You'll be essential in expanding our presence, growing revenue, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage, and develop relationships with prospective clients in the area – in particular the waste and construction sectors
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and client needs within the bird and pest control sector
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients, clearly outlining our unique value and service offerings
  • Negotiate and close contracts while ensuring compliance with UK pest control and environmental regulations
  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients, fostering long-term partnerships, and identifying upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate with our technical and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of services
  • Provide after-sales support and follow-up to maintain high customer satisfaction and retention rates.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales role, ideally within the pest control industry
  • Knowledge of UK pest control regulations and best practices, or a willingness to learn quickly
  • Strong track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel.

  • Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of the sales process, prospecting, and consultative selling techniques
  • Customer-Centric: Strong commitment to understanding client needs and delivering outstanding service
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering compelling proposals
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think strategically, quickly resolving local client issues and adapting solutions
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of bird and pest control solutions, with the ability to explain these to clients.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Salary: £30,000 per year + premium for London living
  • Commission Structure: Competitive performance-based incentives with unlimited earning potential – 5% commission paid upon completion/invoicing of works

Performance Metrics:

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales 
  • New Client Acquisition: Number of new clients acquired per quarter
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Percentage of leads converted into actual sales
  • Sales Pipeline: Maintain a robust sales pipeline with a consistent flow of new business opportunities
  • Customer Retention Rate: Percentage of clients retained year over year
  • Client Engagement: Number of client meetings and interactions per month
  • Market Penetration: Increase in market share within targeted industries or regions
  • Time to Close: Average time taken to close a deal from initial contact.
