We are seeking a Technical Expert with Health and Safety experience to join the business as a Technical and Operations Manager based near Guildford, Surrey. This role is office based but also includes site visits. You will be managing a team of pest control technicians who are also involved in building reinstatement works.

Introduction/Job Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Expert with Health and Safety experience to join the business as a Technical and Operations Manager based near Guildford, Surrey. This role is office based but also includes site visits. You will be managing a team of pest control technicians who are also involved in building reinstatement works.

The main purpose of the role is to manage projects, organise stock/equipment and ensure all RAMS are issued and all Health & Safety facets of the business and projects have been covered. All to maintain the quality of the services and standards of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the technical team and their projects to deliver a consistent standard.
  • Work alongside the Customer Services and Sales Administrator to coordinate and monitor the team’s workload.
  • Provide Technical advice to the team on any relevant topic.
  • Ensure all projects are completed in line with health & safety standards.
  • Work alongside the Customer Services and Sales Administrator to provide high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Ensure all projects are completed in line with company standards.
  • Establish and deliver a CPD Training programme for the pest control team.
  • Ensure ISO 9001 quality standards are met.
  • Develop relationships with key H&S Consultancies.
  • Develop contacts with industry trade experts.

Requirements:

  • Experience of supervising a team and managing changing priorities.
  • Experience in managing projects related to the construction industry.
  • Experience in pest control industry not essential but a plus.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience to deliver information and talk confidently with suppliers and health & safety professionals.
  • Experience of implementing, monitoring and auditing a H&S Management system.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and/or NEBOSH General Certificate in Construction Safety & Health.
  • Minimum of Two years Operations or Technical Manager Experience in either Construction or Pest Control.

Salary range £25 000 with a potential earnings of £35 000 with successful meeting of KPI’s
