The memcom Membership Excellence Awards showcase the great work coming out of the membership and trade association sector.

BPCA nominations

BPCA are nominated in two categories, Best Inclusion Initiative and Best Publication, alongside some prestigous organisations.

Our work on recruitment in the pest control industry, with a focus on how Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) could support that aim, earned us a finalist spot for Best Inclusion Initiative.

Setting up the EDI Committee, creating the EDI toolkit, building a wealth of recruitment tools and resources, and creating the Onboarding framework were all part of a coordinated and ongoing effort to boost industry recruitment.

Our nomination for Best Publication came as a result of our BPCA Manifesto.

We want the UK government to commit to prioritising public health and reducing the distress caused by inadequate pest control.

In order to achieve this, with the help of our members, we crafted six policy recommendations and built them into our Manifesto for Public Health Pest Management.

Staying ahead of the game

Rosina Robson, BPCA Chief Executive, commented:

"We're thrilled that BPCA has secured these nominations in two really important categories. We're especially pleased that the projects highlighted were worked on very closely with members, showcasing the collaborative efforts of the BPCA Staff team and our passionate volunteers from within membership.

"The nomination for our Manifesto shows the importance of our lobbying efforts, on behalf of the pest management industry. Pest management has drawn a lot more focus in Parliament and the devolved nations this last few years, and it's critical we stay ahead of that focus.

"We're also really proud of our EDI projects, which are vital if we're to make sure that the pest management industry has an evolving and growing workforce for years to come."

The awards ceremony takes place in London on 25 September 2025  - wish us luck!
