BPCA has released a free guidance document for pest professionals considering implementing a test and trace procedure during the Covid-19 pandemic.

With the easing of social and economic lockdown measures, the UK Government currently advises that many sectors including hospitality, leisure, close contact services should have a test and trace system in place.

Currently, there is no requirement for trades to have a test and trace system. However, BPCA believes it’s good practice to implement a procedure to help stop the spread of the virus and protect your staff and clients.

The document covers help and advice for all pest management companies, including sections on:

  1. Monitor staff
  2. Maintaining records
  3. Testing staff for Covid-19
  4. Disclosing information to track and trace
  5. Template: record of employee movements
  6. Further support for BPCA members.

As responsible citizens and business owners, we should all be doing our best to minimise the risk of spreading Covid-19 and prevent the NHS from being overwhelmed.
