PestWorld 2021 delivers: a return to face-to-face

International Press Release

PestWorld, the annual convention and exhibition organised by the American pest control trade association, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) was held in Las Vegas, USA from November 2-5, 2021.

The event was the largest in-person gathering the pest management industry has seen in the last two years.

Over the four days of PestWorld 2021, nearly 3,500 attendees and over 200 exhibiting companies embraced the opportunity to meet in-person.

Delegates were able to be inspired by the keynote speakers and attend almost 60 educational sessions, where best practice across many areas of the industry was shared.

Several of these educational sessions were recorded and will be available to listen to early in December via the PestWorld website.

As ever, the exhibition consisting of all the major suppliers to the industry, provided the opportunity to catch-up on all the new product developments and services.

With the event held in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the glitz of the city was much in evidence including Elvis and The Rat Pack impersonators at the opening sessions.

This enthusiasm rubbed-off on all the delegates present who were just over-joyed to be meeting face-to-face once more.

Through the PestWorld 2021 Day of Service, several special interest groups, including the recently established PestVets, donated their time and resources for a variety of charities, so delivering hope and finance to those in need.

In total the impressive amount of over $50,000 was raised during the convention.

NPMA thanks all those who gave their time and money.

International delegates missed

Unfortunately one group that was largely missing were delegates from overseas. Covid-19 travel restrictions prevented their attendance.

However, an intrepid band of nearly 50 individuals did manage to travel to Las Vegas, but this was less than 20% of the regular international contingent.

“To be face-to-face again with our members, our partners, our friends and our colleagues was an experience I will not soon forget. This industry has grit. It has resiliency. It is essential. And…. is made up of the finest of professionals,” exclaimed Dominique Stumpf, NPMA chief executive officer.

“Pest management is a global issue and our international delegates are a major component of PestWorld. Travel restrictions kept most of our friends from being with us in Las Vegas but we know those who were not with us in-person were there in spirit.”

Looking to the future, reserve the dates of October 11-14, 2022 for PestWorld 2022 to be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

USA TOO FAR?

If a plane ride isn't on the cards, there are plenty of events to attend in the UK.
