Pelsis acquires French pest control supplier Edialux

Global pest control and hygiene product manufacturer Pelsis Group has acquired France’s leading professional pest control distributor as part of its ongoing international growth strategy.

pelsis acquires edialux

Edialux France has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, headquartered company with all its employees, customers and suppliers transferring to Pelsis Group. Based in Mâcon, near Lyon, Edialux France has a turnover of €16m and employs 36 people.

The deal increases Pelsis Group’s turnover to around £150m with the business now employing more than 500 people across 15 sites located throughout the UK, Europe, China and the USA.

It represents the latest move in Pelsis’ international growth strategy which has seen the Group add to its range of pest control brands, most recently the 2018 acquisition of US-based Curtis & Gilmour. All values relating to the transaction are undisclosed.

Commenting on the acquisition, Pelsis Group chief executive, Andrew Milner, said: “We have enjoyed a good business relationship with Edialux France over a number of years. Both companies share similar business goals, values and aspirations for the future.

“Due to the ongoing growth opportunities and the clear benefits of working together, we have decided now is the right time to fully align our businesses, enabling us to provide our customers with enhanced levels of product innovation, service and support.

“This acquisition creates an organisation even better able to help our customers grow market share and to benefit from long-term profitable partnerships.”
