PRESS RELEASE

Back by popular demand, BASF and Killgerm have announced the return of their specialist ‘On the Farm’ pest control training day for a third consecutive year.

Designed as a hands-on, interactive experience, the event will equip pest professionals with the knowledge and practical insight needed to tackle rural infestations effectively.

This year’s training day will take place at Mowness Hall Farm in Suffolk on Wednesday 24 June, with just 60 places available. Due to high demand in previous years, early booking is strongly advised.

Delegates can look forward to a packed programme of expert-led sessions covering a range of rural pest control topics. Highlights include mastery of spraying, practical proofing techniques for rural buildings, and covered and protected baiting strategies, alongside other engaging workshops.

Attendees will be split into smaller groups to encourage deeper learning and a more focused, practical experience.

Laurence Barnard, Country Business Manager at BASF Pest Control Solutions, said:

“We’re thrilled to be bringing ‘On the Farm’ back for its third year. It’s always a great success, and places fill up extremely fast. This year, we’ve moved the event to East Anglia being as the area is synonymous with farming, and to make it more accessible for pest controllers from other parts of the country.

“We’ve put together a jam-packed agenda that gives technicians the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skillset across a wide range of areas, while also networking with some of the industry’s leading names. With contributions from our own Alex Wade, BPCA’s Niall Gallagher, NPTA’s Duncan Bosomworth and more, it promises to be a fantastic day.”

Attendees will be welcomed with a hot bacon roll on arrival, with refreshments available throughout the day. A barbecue lunch will provide the perfect opportunity for networking and downtime ahead of the afternoon sessions.

Pest professionals attending will also get a free tub of Selontra and Monitoring Paste, as well as goody bags. Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register as soon as possible, as spaces are limited and the event has a history of selling out quickly.
