Programme announced for Global Food Summit 2026

Check out the programme for the Global Public Health and Food Safety Summit to run on 4-5 June, 2026 at the Nina Hotel, Tsuen Wan, West Hong Kong.

Delegates can now register and take advantage of the early bird rate until 12 April, 2026.

Delegates are invited to join fellow pest management professionals, public health officials and food safety experts from around the world for these two days of insight, innovation and collaboration.

The event begins with a presentation from Dr Ramen Velayudhan, recently retired from the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Switzerland who will address the global trends, emerging threats and the role of pest management on vector-borne diseases.

Also from Europe, Dr Marc Aubry of Ecolab, France and CEPA president will discuss the urban pest management industry’s role in the Global One Health Concept.

Amongst the speakers from the USA, Dr Niamh Quinn from the University of California will share her findings on roof and Norway rat management.

Also from the University of California, Dr Chow Yang Lee will share his latest advances in cracking the cockroach code for pest management.

Speakers from Asia include Taro Kanazawa from HYSIA, Japan who will address applying the pest risk matrix to improve results in pest management and Junichiro Katayama of Semco who will look how new technologies are evolving in pes control in food handling facilities. 

Looking to the future, the talks conclude with a joint presentation regarding future-proofing pest management with sustainable practices for a stronger industry from Sathes Chandran from Pesterminators, the Maldives and Steven Nyland of Anticimex, USA.

Time has been built into the programme for delegates to network and visit the 10-15 stand exhibition.

Prior to the start of the conference, the Global Pest Management Coalition will be meeting on the afternoon of 3 June, 2026. On the morning of June 5, 2026 there will be a World Pest Day celebration. 

The event is being jointly organised by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) from the USA, the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) from Europe and from Asia and Oceania, the Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managers Associations (FAOPMA).
