Dave's been shooting airguns since the late 80s as a field target competitor national and international, and 10 years as a 10-metre shooter. 20 years ago he set up ATEO to look at the professional use and the image of airgun users. Dave introduces approximately 3,000 to 4,000 people per year to airgun sports in all their forms at shows and events.
Since the late 90’s he's been involved in working with various manufacturers to produce equipment suitable for the pest control industry and has created bespoke training programmes developed with BASC. Now he's delivering training to the pest control industry, covering all documentation/legal aspects/ballistics/rifle safety and how to use them including sessions on scopes, laser sights, shooting techniques and range finding.
Dave is now working on safety documents with the Airgun Manufacturers Trade Association and the Gun Trade Association which will soon go into the Home Office for appraisal. Dave regularly works with police forces in schools to educate about the dangers of airguns and knives.
