Clive is hosting a drop-in session on insect identification. Visitors can bring their own insect samples, and get help with identification. Microscopes, books, keys and other resources will be available. In addition, there will be an opportunity to examine and gain experience with various new or tricky pests. Forget the big picture – it’s all about the detail!

Clive has been involved professionally with the management and control of pests of public health and hygiene importance since the 1970s. He has worked for several multi-national pesticide companies, being involved with the international evaluation and development of novel products for pest control.
Since 1992 he has run the Pest Management Consultancy, which works internationally on urban pest problems with clients in various sectors such as housing, animal husbandry, food, health, waste management and pesticide development. He regularly provides training courses for the British Pest Control Association and other organisations, on technical and managerial aspects of pest-control. He is also regularly involved as an expert witness in pest-related litigation.
He regularly publishes papers and articles in the scientific and technical press, relating to various aspects of urban pest control. He is a member of the Academy of Experts, a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, and is on the Executive Committee of the International Conference on Urban Pests.
