This one-day online classroom course follows the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management syllabus. 

This course is perfect for:

  • Anyone who is looking to refresh their knowledge around health, safety and legislation generally
  • Those preparing to resit this module in the RSPH examination.

Overview

The course will use a mix of presentation and interactive sessions and will include modules on:

• Principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
• Public health, pesticide, animal welfare and health and safety legislation
• Risk assessments and environmental risk assessments
• Hazards and risks
• Communication within a pest control setting
• Safe use, storage and disposal of pesticides
• Documentation used in pest control
• Specific hazardous environments – working at height, biohazards, confined spaces, lone working.

While there isn't a pre-course entry requirement for this programme, this course will suit someone who has already studied some pest management. This BPCA course is open to all.

Virtual classroom training by British Pest Control Association

This is a one-day virtual classroom course. 9 am to 5 pm.

There will be regular breaks, including one for lunch. 

Virtual classroom programmes have limited places, so you can ask questions and get involved in the training from the comfort of your home or work. The BPCA virtual classroom is accessible via Zoom.

To take part, you need:

  • A computer, laptop or tablet
  • An internet connection.

Smartphones will all so work, however the session is not optimised for very small screens.

As in a classroom environment, candidates will be encouraged to engage in discussions, share experiences and ask questions so where possible please ensure you have your camera and microphone switched on.

Slides from the training will NOT be available so please ensure that you have pens and paper to enable you to take your own notes.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a BPCA Certificate of Attendance.

If you are on BPCA Registered you will earn 7 CPD points for completing the course.

If you are on Basis Prompt, you will receive TBC CPD points for completing the course.
