Microbee Bird Control Ltd is currently looking for a Bird Control Technician. We are looking for someone who can work 2-3 days per week between Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 17.00. The role is initially part-time but there is potential to become full-time depending on the workload.
As a company we undertake a range of bird control and bird proofing solutions that include anti-perching spikes, exclusion netting and much more. We do work closely with our sister company called Microbee Ltd. They focus more on pest control but there are many situations where we overlap. If the successful candidate holds the BPCA / RSPH level 2 award in Pest Management or higher then there will be opportunity for more work through our sister company outside your duties within the bird team.
Due to the growth in our business we are seeking assistance within the field team. The successful applicant must have experience in installing exclusion netting, anti-perching spikes and wire. Training will be provided on all other bird control related systems. You must be confident working at heights, in confined spaces as well as outdoors.
Although most of our work is within the M25 area. Some travel to surrounding areas may be required, in these situations transport will be provided.

Bird Technician Duties:
- To support the team with the installation of a variety of bird proofing systems. These include: Pigeon and Gull exclusion netting, anti-perching spikes, anti-perching wire, avishock system, gull grid wire amongst many others.
- To undertake work that involves cleaning and sanitising of bird fouling.
To be considered for this position you will need:
- Competence in bird netting installation.
- Must be comfortable working at heights, confined spaces and outdoors.
- Experienced in using a variety of power tools
- Excellent customer service
- It is essential that you are confident in dealing with colleagues, third parties and can generally work well within a team
The following is desirable but not essential:
- Comfortable dispatching pigeons
- UK/ EU category B driving license
- RSPH / BPCA level 2 in pest management award (or above)
- BPCA Certificate in Bird Management (or equivalent)
- BPCA Safe use of Air Weapons for Effective Pest Control (or equivalent)
- CSCS labourer card or above
- PASMA tower certified
- IPAF category 1B, 3A and/or 3B certified
- Harness and Ladder training
