Member Support Officer - BPCA

Location: Field-based with UK travel

An exciting opportunity to join the BPCA team, offering support and guidance to BPCA's members.

Description

  • Salary: From £33k plus benefits package
  • Field based, with extensive travel across the UK, plus regular overnights away from home
  • Permanent, full-time position. 36.5 hours per week
  • Responsible to: Head of Technical and Membership.

The successful applicant will provide support and guidance to the British Pest Control Association’s (BPCA) members to ensure membership compliance and support their growth and development.

The postholder will provide business and some technical support to BPCA members on a daily basis, and drive membership recruitment and retention.

You’ll be expected to produce trend analysis and recommendations on a monthly basis, aimed at driving engagement within the membership base and supporting membership compliance.

Your work will involve being part of the wider technical and membership team, which is a small, dynamic team within an award-winning Association, full of trade association professionals.

Your application will remain strictly confidential and only accessible to essential BPCA staff. It will not be shared with volunteers or Board members.

The person

Above all, you’ll be an excellent communicator. This is an outward-facing role with clear deliverables and requires a person who is willing to both self-motivate, self-organise and drive quality standards.

We need a bright, focused individual, dedicated to building lasting relationships with their colleagues and members. 

You need pest control experience in a variety of settings, ideally at both small and large companies, and experience of managing a wide range of commercial and domestic customers will be an advantage.

This post will be field based, with extensive travel across the UK and regular overnight stays away from home.
