Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with either experience of, or a strong desire to learn about pest control to join our company based in London or surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who is willing to make a difference to the company. We specialise in solving problems and providing good advice and are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and doesn’t give up. Customer service is key and we are looking for a hard working individual with great knowledge of pest control.

What you will be doing:

Inspect customer premises for signs of pests and potential risks
Clean and remove evidence of pest behaviour
Advise customers on maintenance and hygiene of their premises
Complete accurate reports after every visit
Maintain high level customer service and project a professional image at all times

1. Maintain your personal hygiene and be presentable in full / clean uniform.
2. Carry your ID card.
3. Do not smoke in your vehicle or at a client’s premises.
4. Keep your vehicle clean, tidy & manage any pesticides stored inside.
5. Be courteous and polite at all times. Introduce yourself with a smile.
6. Speak to customer to understand their issues, what they have seen & where.
7. Inspect customer premises by walking around the whole property with the customer (internal & external) & examining all areas. Use your torch etc.. and take active steps to reassure them.
8. Take photos/video of any key areas/issues/infestations.
9. Do not undertake any treatment until you have correctly identified the pest.
10. Undertake your risk assessment.
11. Advise the customer of what you have observed and plan to do. Answer any questions they may have.
12. If proofing is required advise them of this & provide a quote explaining what this entails.
13. Issue any treatment advice card & obtain their consent to commence any treatment.
14. Check to ensure they have correctly signed & dated & give them their copy.
15. Wear the correct PPE.
16. Prepare the required pesticide application & apply the correct treatment.
17. Comply with all Company Risk or COSHH Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
18. Collect any dead animals and other samples for analysis or disposal.
19. Take care to ensure no mess or damage and clean up any spillage or mess before finishing.
20. Write up your treatment reports clearly detailing: The species of pest. The risks identified. Your observations. The treatment applied. The type & amount of pesticide (if any) used & the location it was deployed. The advice & recommendations given to the customer. Confirmation of any follow-up visit.
21. Ensure customer signs your report.
22. Take payment (where applicable) & thank customer for their custom.
23. Provide customer with a Checkatrade form when the treatment is completed.
24. Leave their property in a clean and safe condition.
25. Return any controlled waste to the stores.
26. Report any accidents or complaints immediately or should there be any issues with the above.

Requirements:

Requirements for this role:

Full UK driving licence, for more than two years with no more than six points
Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at level C or above
Previous experience in a customer service role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience of working outdoors is advantageous
Target driven
Flexible to commit to overtime
Hard working and can-do attitude
