Pest/ Proofing Technician (on foot) to work on our MABUS contract.

We are currently looking for a Pest Control/ Proofing Technician to work on foot around London. We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious, self-motivated, trustworthy individuals.

Job objectives and responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working solely on our MABUS contract to assist with specialist proofing works, vegetation control hygiene treatments, wildlife cull and standard pest control duties.

Main duties:

• Proofing installation for avian management including wires, spikes, and netting.
• Wildlife management by culling.
• Weed control using herbicides and mechanical methods.
• Hygiene treatments including the removal of human and animal waste.
• Transport / dispose hazardous waste, ensure it takes place efficiently without
• Contaminating air, land, or water sources.
• Complete Job Work contracts professionally, to specification within budget.
• Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills and undertake on line modular training in own time at home as required.
• Maintain job work tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Ensure safe working area and high standard of hygiene for job work workshop and stores.
• General pest control duties
• Any other “ad hoc” duties as required by the needs of the business

Person Specification

• Ideally be qualified/experienced in the following – Personal Track Safety (PTS), IPAF Mobile, PASMA –Mobile Tower. Harness/Latchway, Controller of Site Safety (COSS), Individual Working Alone (IWA), Street works – Installer, Weed Spraying, Use of Strimmer’s, Chainsaws.
• Ideally have pest control experience but not essential.
• Have a full, valid UK drivers licence.
• Competent written & verbal communication Skills
• Excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with customers at all levels
• Ability to work on your own initiative
