We are seeking an experienced and outstanding UK Sales Manager with technical knowledge and experience of Pest Control, Agriculture or Trade chemicals. Specific experience of these product types and market sectors would be an advantage but not essential as training would be given.
Selling B2B the individual will ideally have experience in working with the key customers and potential distribution partners across the industry.
Main Responsibilities & Skills required of our UK Sales Manager:
• 5+ years sales experience ideally with focus on pest control/public health product sales
• Field-based B2B sales experience with a proven sales record in achieving new business sales
• Technical knowledge of Pest Control/Agriculture products (although training can/will be given)
• Good experience of Marketing techniques across different formats
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and planning skills alongside financial awareness of margin models & a commercial savvy attitude
• Use of advanced sales, negotiation & presentation skills
• High-quality networking skills and an established network of contacts in the desired field
• Being credible, persuasive and tenacious with the ability to adapt their approach to different working environments from Shop floor through to Procurement/Director level
• IT literate in MS Office and presentation software
• Be willing to commit to significant travel and trade shows including overnight stays
• Being flexible, energetic with a good teamwork mentality and a hands-on approach
• Possess a clean & valid Driver's License and acceptable Motoring history


Marketplace & Job Role Background;
Market experience - A strong knowledge of our market sectors and good connections with the various customer groups such as; Pest Control Operators, Agricultural Product Distribution, Local Authorities and Waste Management companies on a national & regional basis including large & medium groups, possibly having experience with large retail & trade buying groups and major retailers. Having built up strong relationships, be able to gain placement for Barrettine Products within a short to medium term and to add incremental business by widening the product portfolio with new and existing customers.
Product knowledge and background - The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge of pest control products such as rodenticides & insecticides and other associated pest control products, although training will be given. Ideally, they will already have good experience of selling these associated products and understand where our product range fits with potential customers and help to define the sales and marketing strategy going forward.
Reporting & Placement - Working alongside and reporting to the Sales & Commercial Director, located ideally in the South West or the Midlands and ideally within 70 miles of our Bristol Head office albeit this is flexible for the ideal candidate.
Over a period of time, taking over existing/live accounts, developing further sales and becoming a key lead member of the sales team.
Salary - Based on experience. Package would also include; Company Car (or Car Allowance), Bonus/Commission scheme, Laptop, Mobile Phone & Contributory Pension Scheme.
