Recent policy changes have reduced the opportunity for the use of rodenticides for both citizens and professionals to be used and more focus is put on the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
However, reality is unruly and in many municipalities (and their citizens) currently struggle with the presence of rats. Problems seem to be worse than the past. What should be done now and what can we learn from the Dutch perspective?
