BASF unveil #SelontraCertified

PRESS RELEASE

Pest controllers across the UK are being invited to achieve #SelontraCertified accreditation this year - an official endorsement of their training, knowledge, and safe handling of the market leading cholecalciferol rodenticide Selontra.

Launched by BASF, the #SelontraCertified initiative celebrates professional excellence in rodent control and helps pest technicians stand out in a competitive market.

The accreditation provides reassurance to clients and businesses that technicians are using the most cutting edge rodenticide in the business safely, responsibly, and with up-to-date product knowledge.

How to get #SelontraCertified

To become certified, pest controllers simply need to complete or refresh their online training on Selontra® via the BASF training platform. Once the training is complete, participants can present their certificate of completion in one of two ways:

  • Visit the BASF team at a relevant industry event or
  • Tag @BASF Pest Control Solutions on Facebook with a photo of the certificate and use the hashtag #SelontraCertified.

Successful participants will receive an exclusive #SelontraCertified van sticker and digital badge to display their accreditation on their social media profiles, company websites, and promotional materials.

Laurence Barnard, Country Business Manager at BASF, commented:

“We’ve seen a significant rise in demand for Selontra®, especially in sensitive environments, or where quick control and reduced risk to non-target species are critical.

"The #SelontraCertified initiative is designed to highlight the professionals who have up-to-date knowledge of the product and can demonstrate best practice in the field.

“By becoming certified, pest controllers not only earn CPD points but also gain a valuable mark of trust and credibility with clients. It’s as simple as refreshing your training online and tagging us - or stopping by our stand at an event to collect your official sticker and badge.”

A commitment to best practice

BASF encourages pest controllers to refresh their Selontra® training annually to stay informed of the latest guidance and regulatory updates.

The training is intended to support ongoing professional development and ensure that Selontra is used to its full potential for effective, responsible rodent control.
