May Apprenticeships Update

BPCA’s drive to create the first apprenticeships in pest control has achieved another key milestone. The Pest Control Technicians standard for the trailblazer apprenticeship has been approved. This standard was pulled together by a range of pest control employers and is designed to meet the needs of our sector.

The chairman of the Employers’ Development Group said;

“we are very pleased that our proposal has been accepted by the government. The next stage is to pull together an End Point Assessment (ie set out how we’d like to assess apprentices) and work starts on this in late April.”
