Volunteers wanted: BPCA Executive Board

Because the BPCA AGM will be earlier this year, we’re appealing for Board members sooner than normal.

Recruiting for BPCA Executive Board

The AGM will be held in April this year, alongside our Midland forum.

We have several spots available on the Board due to rotation and resignation.

We’re looking for a few people from member companies to join the Executive Board and drive the mission of the Association.

Our ideal Board candidates will be:

  • Passionate about pest management
  • Willing to drive positive change
  • Business-minded with sound judgement
  • A good listener with an open-mind
  • Good at challenging and scrutinising BPCA activity
  • Courageous and unafraid of sharing their opinions in a board setting.

All applications are welcome, however people with the following skills and experience will be particularly helpful:

  • A broad understanding of the pest management sector in the UK including the future threats and opportunities
  • Effective change management experience
  • A strong appreciation of business risk
  • Strong high-level networking skills
  • Experience of engaging with government.

Responsibilities will include attending at least four Board meetings a year and helping to drive the Association’s strategic enablers.

You’ll need to be fully prepared to do some independent work and scrutinise various papers. You’ll need to have spare time to dedicate to the Board and Association.

You must be employed by a compliant BPCA member organisation to join the Executive Board.

Treasurer position

The BPCA Honorary Treasurer position will be open for election at the BPCA AGM.

You don’t need to be a qualified accountant to be an effective treasurer. If you can find your way around a Profit and Loss Statement, we will help you with the rest!

Does this sound like you?

All Board members are elected at the AGM, however if you register your interest now we can help answer all your questions and get you ready for the election.
