YOUR ASSOCIATION

The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) has been shortlisted for three 2024 Trade Association Awards.

BPCA is up for the following:

  • Skills Development Award
  • Membership Engagement Award
  • Trade Association of the Year Award.

The Trade Association Forum (TAF) hosts the Trade Association Awards.

The industry-recognised awards are supported by the Department of Business and Trade (DBT), which is a longstanding member of the independent final judging panel.

TAF said:

“We had a record number of entries for the 2024 Awards, with a series of shortlisting panels meeting across December 2023 to select the very best in each category to put forward for the final shortlist.

“Congratulations to everyone who has made the shortlist – it’s a huge testament to the quality of your work over the past year!”

Award-worthy volunteers

BPCA Chief Executive, Ian Andrew said:

“Being shortlisted for a TAF award is a great honour. This is the first time we’ve been up for the prestigious Trade Association of the Year Award.

“As BPCA Registered goes from strength to strength, we already know it’s a great scheme developed by members for members. Seeing it nominated for the Skills Development Award is a testament to what members can achieve when they set their minds to it”.

He continued:

“Likewise, without the incredible input of all our committees, we wouldn’t have been shortlisted for the Membership Engagement Award. It recognises our membership benefit reboot which saw us bring in perks like TradePoint, Dell, BPCA Quest and more.

“Our lobbying work to protect glue boards and governance review projects contributed to us being shortlisted for Association of the Year.

“All these projects had significant member input – so a big thank you to all our amazing volunteers”.

Fingers crossed for February

The final judging panel will meet in the new year to decide the winners, with the results announced at the ceremony on Thursday, 22 February 2024.
