New ladder safety guidance announced

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Ladder Association will be unveiling two new ladder safety guidance documents in a one-off webinar

Ladder safety is highly relevant for pest management technicians and surveyors, particularly those who carry out jobs involving wasp or bird nests.

During the talk Gail Hounslea, Ladder Association Chairman, and Paul Cook from HSE will introduce the guidance and walk through the key steps to preventing ladder accidents in the workplace.

This includes how to select (and maintain) safe equipment and ensure all workers are competent. Speakers from both organisations will then answer your questions in a live Q&A session.

Attendees will get an exclusive first look at the HSE's new ladder safety webpages and be asked to contribute their feedback before they go live to the public. They'll also receive an electronic copy of the Ladder Association's updated Code of Practice.
