Karolien is Founder and Owner of 360 Wildlife Control Ltd and on the BPCA WildWise group member.

Following early enrolments among UK deer managers, Karolien has completed the DMC3, an advanced deer management qualification created and delivered by the Shooting & Hunting Academy.

Karolien was presented with her certificate at the 2026 British Shooting Show by Peter S Jones, CEO of the Shooting & Hunting Academy, alongside Niall Rowantree, DMC3 Ambassador and recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to Conservation 2026 Award.

The DMC3 is described as an advanced vocational qualification in UK deer management. It is aimed at experienced deer managers wishing to further develop and evidence their technical skills, knowledge and field experience.

Karolien said:

“With the increasing level of professionalism demanded by clients, I am delighted to achieve this certificate, and even more so, being the first to do so. I would encourage anyone committed to raising their standards in deer management to consider further structured training. I also hope this achievement encourages more women into the stalking and wildlife management community.”

The accreditation is achieved through a combination of structured coursework, verified field experience and completion of a final Deer Management Plan. It includes documented practical work across a range of deer species and the development of a portfolio of evidence.

As an Association, BPCA supports ongoing professional development and recognises the importance of structured training routes that help wildlife professionals demonstrate competence, safety and high standards of animal welfare.

360 Wildlife Control works as both primary and sub-contractors, supporting pest and wildlife control businesses and working directly for clients throughout the UK. The company provides wildlife management services covering deer, fox, badger, avian species, squirrels, rats and rabbits.
