CPD

BPCA members can now complete their CRRU-UK-approved CPD for 2027 through a series of free online modules, available via their MyBPCA area.

The three modules, based on the latest CRRU-UK resources released in February 2026, are designed to help pest professionals meet the updated proof-of-competence requirements and continue purchasing and using professional-use rodenticides without interruption.

Members on BPCA Registered have been automatically enrolled on the courses.

Online learning (log in required)

Members on the BPCA Registered can now access a total of seven CRRU-UK-approved modules, all of which are acceptable for the 2027 rodenticide CPD requirements.

What’s included

The online learning covers three key areas of rodenticide stewardship:

  • Rodenticide resistance - How resistance develops, where the risks are, and how pest professionals can manage and prevent it
  • Permanent baiting update - What the latest 2026 stewardship guidance means in practice
  • Exposure of wildlife to rodenticides - The evidence behind non-target exposure and how responsible use reduces risk.

Each module is designed to be short, practical and directly relevant to field-based pest management work.

Meeting the 2026 requirements

Since 1 January 2026, pest professionals must meet updated proof of competence requirements to purchase and use professional-use rodenticides.

This now means providing either:

  • Certification from a CRRU-UK-approved training course completed within the last five years, or
  • An older certification alongside membership of an approved CPD scheme, with at least three CRRU-UK CPD points recorded.

The new BPCA modules provide a straightforward way for members to gain those required CPD points.

Plan ahead, don’t leave it late

Karen Dawes, BPCA Training and Professional Development Manager, said planning ahead is key:

“We don’t mind how you get your CRRU-UK points, but we do want you to plan ahead. Don’t leave it until the last minute, or even worse, until 2027. Take action this year and get your CPD sorted early.”

She added:

“On BPCA Registered, we want to give members flexibility. You can complete the online modules, join our live webinar, or get your points through another provider or supplier. The important thing is that you stay compliant and don’t leave it too late.”

Live webinar option

For those who prefer a structured session, BPCA will also run a three-hour keynote webinar covering all three required CPD topics.

Date: 2 December 2026
Time: 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
Location: Online (Zoom)
CPD: 3 CRRU-UK-approved points

The webinar will include a live discussion and opportunities to ask questions.
