PPC Live: Meet the speaker - John Dowling

John Dowling will be leading a seminar at PPC Live called "The end of my Tether – birds of prey and pest control". We catch up with him to see what we should expect.

John Dowling Falconary

About me and John Dowling Falconry

I had been a Bird fanatic since I was very young and always had a fascination for birds of prey, a great friend of mine had been a Falconer since he was a teenager and he trained me to the point I could get my first bird, which I did in 2006.

At that time, I was Operations Manager for a large multinational engineering company working in the Aerospace sector, to cut a long story short I left my job and started John Dowling Falconry Ltd in March 2008.  After spending the first 4 years doing sub-contract Bird Control work for larger Pest Control companies we decided to go completely alone and began to build up my own customer base.

Now in 2018, we have four full-time employees, one part-timer, and two volunteers.

We specialise in Bird Control.  We do cover all aspects of pest control for most of our large customers but do not really operate in the domestic sector.

The end of my tether - birds of prey and pest control

What to expect from the demonstration

We believe that our methods and programs for Bird Control really do work and I'll bring with me the data from many sites to prove it.

And of course, you'll get to see us fly a bird and learn a bit about how you might add birds of prey to your list fo services.

Professional pest control together. PPC Live is the sister show to PestEx, and is BPCA's exhibition and conference designed for UK pest control technicians, managers and company owners. This event will be held on Wednesday 14 March 2018 at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire.
