The event will feature a drinks reception followed by a gala dinner and awards. There will also be a celebrity host and after-dinner entertainment.

The awards are free to enter, and there are 11 categories.

BPCA Chief Exec, Ian Andrew, said:

You've got to be in it to win it. The Pest Awards are a fantastic way to celebrate your company's achievements. We encourage all BPCA members to get involved in the awards. If you need help putting together a nomination, BPCA members get in touch. We'd love to see another year with many members taking top awards!

The main award, Pest Business of the Year, is again sponsored by Syngenta Professional Pest Management. The winner of this category will be chosen from the winners of the Large Company, Small Company, Local Authority, and Sole Trader of the Year awards.

Sarah Hughes, business manager of Syngenta Professional Pest Management, said:

“We understand the key work that pest controllers do, whether they’re a small, one- or two-person operator, up to major multi-national companies – it’s a bit like the fifth emergency service, with many unsung heroes working in the industry. It’s frightening to imagine what the world would be like without pest controllers.”

This year’s National Pest Award features a new category: Diversity and Inclusion Award, sponsored by Syngenta Professional Pest Management.

Sarah said: “This new award is a really positive thing for the industry.”

Insurance broker Cliverton is a new sponsor for 2024, sponsoring the popular Unsung Hero of the Year category.

Lynne Fisher, associate director of Cliverton, said:

“We have chosen to sponsor the Unsung Hero category, which highlights a special individual who delivers the best customer service or always goes the extra mile in their role.”
