LNPS to offer golden handshake to new recruits

PRESS RELEASE

Qualified pest technicians are being offered a golden handshake of £1,000 by London-based BPCA member LNPS to help with apparent labour shortages.

The haulage industry is not the only sector suffering from a labour shortage, it seems – many pest control companies are facing similar issues.

LNPS Managing Director Paul Cooper explains: “Pest control is a great career, but it seems there is a real shortage of technicians in the industry. A lot of companies are recruiting and fighting for the same small pool of talent.

“Offering a joining bonus of a £1000 has worked well in other industries so we thought we would try the same approach.”

Working in London and the Home Counties, applicants will need to be qualified to RSPH Level 2 and enjoy working mainly in domestic settings. In return for their hard work they will receive a package of benefits including a company vehicle, mobile phone and tablet, laptop and uniform.

LNPS is a private company which is owned by The London Borough of Newham. This means successful applicants can join the Local Government Pension Scheme which is a defined benefit scheme. Basic salary is c.£26,000 with a monthly performance-related bonus and annual bonus.
