As the professional body for the pest management industry in the UK, we need to create deep and lasting partnerships with other organisations. We work with our members and other industry bodies to protect public health, promote safe practices, and develop the industry. Through collaboration and friendship, we help keep members up-to-date with specialist knowledge, have their views heard at all levels, and provide unique member benefits you can't get anywhere else.
AIB International provides comprehensive food safety services. They help the food and beverage supply chain companies apply the highest standards of integrity while partnering with them to continuously improve their food safety best practices. BPCA and AIB work together on pest-related sections in AIB's food standards.

BPCA work closely with the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) on joint guidance that helps pest professionals be aware of bats in order to protect them during pest control treatments for insect pests (like wasps in attics). All bats are protected in the UK.
BPCA has joined forces with BEB Consultancy to offer tailored terms, conditions, and contract assistance to BPCA members. As partners, we have created standard documents and advice for all companies that are members of BPCA. BEB Consultancy delivers practical terms and conditions, contract paperwork, shareholders' agreements, contract administration, and support services.
BRCGS produce the Global Standard for Food Safety, which BPCA helped to develop alongside other food industry experts. Manufacturers, food service organisations and retailers came together to create a rigorous and straightforward Global Standard for Food Safety. BPCA helps produce guidance for pest professionals and has a regular say in how the standard evolves.
The British Cleaning Council (BCC) is the authoritative voice of UK cleaning. The BCC coordinates, campaigns and supports the affairs of the UK's cleaning industry. They're also the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) secretariat for the Cleaning and Hygiene Industry. BPCA sits on the British Cleaning Council and supports all pest-related matters forging closer relationships between the cleaning and pest management sectors.
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is the trade association for UK retailers. BPCA regularly attends and speaks at BRC's food group meetings, promoting why it's crucial to choose a BPCA member for all your pest management requirements.
The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) promotes improved stewardship of products used to control rodents. Under the banner "Think Wildlife", CRRU promotes best practices and responsible rodent control, protecting wildlife from rodenticide exposure. BPCA heads up the CRRU Best Practice Working Group and actively supports CRRU's work.
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) is the membership and awarding body for the environmental health sector. BPCA has a close relationship with CIEH, and we often support each other's events. BPCA sits on CIEH panels, helping to advise on pest-related issues.
BPCA is approved by Government under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015.
BPCA provide a free and impartial service that aims to resolve disputes between consumers and providers in the pest management sector.
Cliverton is a specialist insurer who only works in animal-related industries. They have specific products just for pest management companies.

CEPA, the European pest management services trade association, reunites national associations and companies along the whole pest management chain in 23 European countries. CEPA was set up in 1974 by the BPCA and the Belgian, Dutch, French and Spanish national associations. These organisations had the vision to see that national associations needed help to defend the interests of their members at a European level. History has proved them right. Pest control companies can get CEPA Certified® through an independent auditing process. BPCA continues to be a CEPA partner.
The CPD Certification Service has independently verified BPCA’s continuous professional development (CPD) scheme. The CPD Certification Service auditors assessed BPCA Registered to the CPD Certification Service’s stringent quality processes, making Registered the only scheme in the sector to carry their mark of excellence. Oxford University, The Football Association (FA), the Carbon Trust and the Royal Airforce are all accredited by the CPD Certification Service.
BPCA has partnered with the inspection organisation CQMS Safety-Scheme to provide BPCA member companies with a complimentary SSIP Health and Safety Certification. CQMS Safety-Scheme helps companies verify their health and safety compliance by undergoing an evaluation from an SSIP member scheme.
CropLife champion the role of agricultural innovations in crop protection and plant biotechnology to support and advance sustainable agriculture. BPCA works closely with CropLife on issues where crop protection and public health pest control overlap. CropLife and BPCA worked with eBay to help stop the illegal sale of pesticides on their online store. BPCA, CropLife and eBay won the 2019 Association Excellence Award for Best Partnership or Collaboration.
Dell is a multinational information technology company that develops, sells, repairs, and supports computers and related products and services. Dell and BPCA have a partnership arrangement to help support SMEs. BPCA members get IT advice and support from Dell and significant discounts on computing equipment.
BPCA consults closely with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine on matters relating to pest management in Ireland. BPCA Registered has been approved as a recognised system for the employees of members working in Ireland to evidence their skills, qualifications and continued professional development.
Driving for Better Business is a government-backed National Highways programme to help employers in both the private and public sectors reduce work-related road risk, control the associated costs and improve compliance with current legislation and guidance. BPCA partners with and promotes many Driving for Better Business tools to members.
BPCA, CropLife, and eBay work together to help stop unauthorised pesticide sales happening online. The three organisations aim to keep professional pesticides in the hands of adequately trained and certificated professionals only. BPCA, eBay and CropLife won the Best Association Partnership or Collaboration award at Association Excellence Awards 2019 for this work.

The GB Non-native Species Secretariat (NNSS) has responsibility for helping to coordinate the approach to invasive non-native species in Great Britain. The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) set up the National Pest Advisory Panel (NPAP) in 2001 to provide specialist advice and solutions to the problems caused by pests. CIEH is the professional body for all environmental health practitioners (EHPs), whether employed by the government, local authorities, industry, or private practice. BPCA sits on NPAP, representing members' views to the panel.
Pest Magazine organises the National Pest Awards in association with BPCA. BPCA launched the British Pest Management Awards in 2017. After a successful reception, BPCA wanted the awards to be more accessible to the whole sector and took a step back from being its organiser. BPCA still supports the awards and helps to judge the winners.
Natural England is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) is an independent charity that advocates for better public health worldwide, focusing on the UK. The HSE has granted BPCA the status of an Accredited Stakeholder Organisation (ASO) to represent the interests of professional pest management in the UK REACH and chemical regulation. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals, and it applies to most chemical substances, including biocides, used by pest professionals in the UK.
BPCA helps the University of Wolverhampton teach first-year environmental health professionals the basics of pest biology and management. The course covers the signs of pests, recommendations, and the equipment pest professionals use. This gives EHPs a good grounding for when they are qualified and shows them the importance of working closely with the pest control companies on their sites.
