About the job

This position is responsible for addressing any pest control issues that may arise for our domestic and commercial customers in the South London area.

You will be responsible for locating, diagnosing, and providing repairs and preventative action for pest control and pest infestation quickly and effectively in order to keep their properties in optimal condition.

Excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for details are essential!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for surveying and inspecting buildings and residential properties for signs of pests or infestation
• Provide a thorough report on findings, and inform the company’s clients about treatments and costs
• You should have a good technical and practical knowledge of pest proofing techniques
• Design and carry out pest management plans
• Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
• Safe use of baits and ability to set traps to remove pests
• Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
• Successfully proof against pests from entering a property
• Ability to drive throughout London in order to produce on site pest control investigations.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Proven background in pest control proofing is preferred but not essential
• Some maintenance person experience would be preferable as well but is not essential
• Excellent problem solving capabilities
• Physically able to perform the jobs
• We are looking for an individual who is attentive, assertive, driven and able to manage their time and responsibilities effectively
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential
• Highly motivated and able to work on their own as well as part of a team
• A can-do attitude and a willingness to “muck in” and carry out a variety of tasks as necessitated by the operation
• Must have a clean, full drivers license

Benefits and pay

• Working hours are 8am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday
• The pay for this position is starting at £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Further earning potential with commission
• We offer the opportunity to earn overtime
• PAYE contract 28 days paid holiday leave (after completion of probationary period)
• Company vehicle and fuel card to use during work hours
• Staff uniform is provided
