South Croydon business pick up best pest management business award

Cleankill Pest Control, which has its headquarters in Kenley, was named Company of the Year at the British Pest Management Awards, organised by UK trade body the British Pest Control Association (BPCA)

Held at ExCel London, the award ceremony formed part of the BPCA’s esteemed biennial exhibition and conference PestEx, the UK’s pest management show.

Jonathan Whitehead, Operations Director of Cleankill Pest Control, collected the award. He said: “It’s a fantastic honour and we’re absolutely chuffed to bits because it’s something that we feel we deserve, and we’ve worked hard to get.”

This is not the first award for the company, which has been solving pest problems for commercial and domestic customers for the last 25 years.

In December 2017, Cleankill was the first pest control company in England to be awarded the Gold Investors in People accreditation, plus last year the company picked up Responsible Business of the Year at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards and Best Employer at Croydon Business Excellence Awards.

Cleankill prides itself on investing in staff development, providing all employees with structured development plans and encouraging them to regularly look at ways they can help others through fundraising and sports coaching.

Paul Bates, Managing Director of Cleankill Pest Control, said: “We strongly believe that our values, ethos and focus on customer service before sales sets us apart from other businesses.

“When it comes to our services, we are constantly evaluating what we do and how we can improve.”

The company specialises in working with facilities managers looking after multiple sites across London and the South East, plus the business has national contracts with household names.
