Matt Turek, division president of Orkin International stated: "The acquisition of IPM will help us to continue to expand our footprint within the UK. Both Orkin and IPM share a culture of exceptional customer service.

"We are pleased that Gareth and his team will remain with the company and we look forward to learning and sharing best practices."

Gareth Turner, managing director, founded Integrated Pest Management Ltd in 2000. Commenting on the sale of IPM, he said:

"Due to increasing organic growth, combined with the award of a national high street client, it became clear that the business, staff and customers would greatly benefit from IPM being aligned with another reputable and established pest management organisation; one that could provide IPM with the required support, whilst also offering further opportunities for future growth, greater national outreach for our clients and career progression for our staff.

"Following discussions with the Safeguard/Orkin UK leadership teams I am very confident that we have found the right partner.

"IPM will always be something that I will cherish. It has been my life for the last 22 years and what we have achieved as a team is remarkable. Safeguard/Orkin will now take us to the next level," explained Gareth.

The company will continue to trade as Integrated Pest Management.

IPM has certainly had some prestigious clients. These include a government contract which includes the Cabinet Office, 10 Downing Street, MI5, the Home Office and several other government buildings.

Continued expansion for Orkin in the UK

IPM is the latest addition to the growing number of Orkin companies in the UK.

This began with the acquisition of Safeguard Pest Control in 2016.

Since then the AMES Group, Kestrel Pest Control, Enviropest, Baroque Pest Services, the Guardian Group, Albany Environmental and Van Vynck Environmental have all been added to the Safeguard/Orkin family of businesses.
