Rentokil completes purchase of competitor Cannon Pest Control

One of the largest independently owned pest control companies in the UK, Cannon Pest Control, has been purchased by Pest Control giant, Rentokil, taking over all 19 locations. Both Rentokil and Cannon are full BPCA Servicing Members, with collectively a massive client portfolio.

The deal took place yesterday (18 January 2017), when Rentokil agreed to acquire the pest control interests of Cannon Pest Control, in the UK and in Ireland.

Phil Wood, Area Managing Director of Rentokil Initial, UK, Ireland, Baltics and ROW commented:

"We are really excited about this acquisition as Cannon Pest Control complements the existing Rentokil Pest Control business. We look forward to working with our new colleagues and our number one priority remains the customers of the business."

Simon Forrester, BPCA Chief Executive said:

"Rentokil's expansion will send ripples across the whole UK pest control sector. When an organisation as large as this buys another major player, it creates opportunities for Rentokil to take on new contracts, for employees of both organisations to develop their roles, and for others to go their own way and set up in business for themselves."

"For all involved, BPCA continues to offer the same strong support and guidance it always has. Congratulations to Rentokil for their acquisition, and our best wishes to the Cannon team for whatever the future may bring."
