Rentokil acquires Ghanaian pest control company

BPCA member Rentokil Initial announced the acquisition of Samson Pest Control Limited as Rentokil Initial Ghana Limited, a new market entry for the company.

Samson Pest Control Limited was established 15 years ago by Julian Acheampong and has a team with a combined 74 years' worth of local market experience. Alongside pest control the team offer specialist market leading disinfection services to help battle the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Julian and his team at Samson were featured in a PPC95 article about pest management in Ghana and life as an Observer member of BPCA. 

Commenting on the acquisition, Regional Managing Director Mark Gillespie said:

“We are delighted to add Rentokil Initial Ghana Limited to the wider Rentokil Initial family. Julian has proudly established an excellent business in a market with great opportunity.

"Rentokil Initial brings world class expertise, products, services and innovation to complement the great capability in-country and we are very excited about the opportunity ahead”.

Rentokil Ghana General Manager Julian Acheampong commented:
