Check your CRRU-UK CPD before the year-end deadline

STEWARDSHIP

BPCA is reminding members to check their technicians’ CRRU-UK CPD records before 31 December 2026, so they have the points they need for 2027.

BPCAWarningasCRRUdeadlineappraoches

Technicians who rely on the CPD route to purchase or use professional-grade rodenticides must complete three CRRU-UK approved CPD points during 2026 and meet their wider BPCA Registered requirements.

The three points count towards the annual total of 20 BPCA Registered points. They are not an additional requirement on top of that total.

What technicians need

To meet CRRU-UK’s proof of competence requirements, technicians must hold either:

  • A CRRU-UK approved qualification or training certificate achieved within the last five years
  • An older CRRU-UK approved qualification or training certificate, supported by three CRRU-UK approved CPD points completed during 2026 and fulfilment of their annual BPCA Registered CPD requirement.

CRRU-UK will enforce the 31 December 2026 deadline. We cannot retrospectively award points or issue certification to cover missed requirements after that date.

Anyone relying on the CPD route who has not met the requirements must recertify before continuing to purchase or use professional-grade rodenticides.

Check records and outstanding submissions

Company main contacts can review technician progress through the BPCA Registered portal.

  1. Select Admin in your CPD Area
  2. Tick Display CPD Summary
  3. Enter 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
  4. Select CRRU-UK from the Themes menu
  5. Click Apply Filters.

BPCARegisteredHowtoCheck

Also check the CRRU-UK Self Cert theme for submissions awaiting validation.

Technicians can submit self-certified CRRU-UK CPD where their learning meets the outcomes of the official presentations. However, BPCA Registered must validate submissions, and they may be declined if they do not meet the criteria. A submission alone does not mean the points have been approved.

If technicians have earned points through another training provider, check that these appear in their accounts. Providers may send us the details, but this is not guaranteed. Please let us know if anything is missing so we can follow it up.

CRRU-UK Certification 2027

Issuing a CRRU-UK certificate depends on technicians meeting the overall BPCA Registered CPD requirement. Technicians must therefore have achieved both the required BPCA Registered CPD and the CRRU-UK CPD before we can issue a CRRU-UK certificate.

We will issue separate certificates for the BPCA Registered CPD and CRRU-UK CPD requirements. The CRRU-UK certificate will confirm that you have met both requirements.

Issuing CRRU-UK certificates for 2027 will begin at the start of December 2026. Technicians who have met all requirements should expect to receive their CRRU-UK certificate within three working days.

For CRRU-UK CPD recorded between Monday 21 December and Thursday 31 December 2026, we will issue certificates by Wednesday 6 January 2027 at the latest.

We can issue certificates only when all required CRRU-UK CPD points have been recorded by 31 December 2026. Any CRRU-UK CPD completed from 1 January 2027.

Learning is already available

BPCA-registered technicians have free, unlimited access to CRRU-UK-approved CPD quizzes through their online learning portal. Points are added automatically once you complete the quizzes.

To access them, sign in to your MyBPCA account and select Online learning.

We are also running a free CRRU-UK CPD webinar later this year. This webinar offers 3 CRRU-UK CPD points.

For technicians who need support with Environmental Risk Assessments, our online ERA course guides learners through completing a CRRU-UK ERA. This online course offers 2 CRRU-UK CPD points.

Please check your team’s records now and arrange any outstanding learning well before the deadline. This gives us time to help with missing points or validation queries.

If you need support checking records or finding suitable CPD, please contact the BPCA team.
