Due to changes made by the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU-UK), from 1 January 2026, if you wish to purchase and use professional-grade rodenticides, you need to have the following:

Use BPCA Registered to become CRRU-UK Approved for rodenticide purchases
BPCA Registered has created a CRRU-UK Approved Register for its users, making it easy to meet the new CRRU-UK eligibility requirements.
If you hold a CRRU-UK-approved training or qualification certificate, follow these steps:
- Log in to the BPCA website
- Click on the CRRU-UK Register opt in button at the top of the page
- You will immediately be shown whether or not you are eligible to join the register
- If you're eligible, click Submit to opt in.
If you are not eligible
There are two reasons why you may yet be eligible to join the Register:
You do not have the relevant training or qualification certification recorded on our system
If you believe you hold a CRRU-UK-approved training or qualification certificate but it is not shown on this page, contact registered@bpca.org.uk and we will look into that for you.
Your training or qualification certification is more than five years old, and you have not yet completed three CRRU-Approved CPD points
If you don’t yet hold a CRRU-UK-approved training or qualification certificate, you will not be eligible to join the Register. You will need to achieve your certification, and BPCA can help you to do that. Simply book your Using Rodenticides Safely training and exam package.

If you need to complete CRRU-UK CPD, all BPCA Registered members have automatically been enrolled into the three relevant courses. To access these courses, head over to your My BPCA dashboard and click on “Your Online Learning”. Once you’ve completed these courses, your details will be updated on the CRRU-UK Register.
