Experienced Pest Control Technician
Location: Southampton and surrounding area, Hampshire
Salary: Competitive Basic plus Bonuses and Company Vehicle
Contract: Permanent, Full Time 37.5hrs per week
Start Date: October/November 2017
Control Pest UK has been in operating since 1981, we provide services to commercial, domestic and public clients. We effectively deal with all aspects of pest control.
Due to our ever-increasing client base, we are looking to recruit a new highly motivated technician to join our team. They will need to be confident, as in our busy often unpredictable diverse environment, they will need hit the ground running.
Experience and qualifications in the industry and of the role of pest control techinician is a necessity.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Complete Routine Inspections at contract sites, including offices, warehouses, factories, stores
• Provide Action Reports, advising client of work carried out and advice on possible proofing and preventative measures against future pest related issues
• Advise on general House Keeping and acceptable Health and Safety Standards
• Attend emergency call outs on a daily basis whilst completing daily workload
• Diarise and carry out follow up visits at sites with continued pest issues
• Service and clean pest units on sites
• Assist with prevention, management and clearance aspects of pest control
• Complete pest related inspections at Local Authority Premises in line with their procedures
• Maintain and monitor the stock levels within your company vehicle
• Maintain the standard of vehicle, inspections on cleanliness of vehicles interior and exterior
• Undertake Shoots using an air rifle
The Ideal Candidate:
• Hold a full clean UK driving licence
• Minimum 1 year experience
• The ability to effectively communication across a wide spectrum of people, both verbally and written
• Be observant, have an eye for detail
• Work in an ever changing environment
• Have a questioning approach with the ability to problem solve within given perimeters
• Be able to self motivate, work as an individual and as an effective member of a team
• Trustworthy, responsible, positive, personable to colleagues and clients
• Would be advantageous if happy to work at heights and in small spaces
Pay and Conditions:
• Starting Basic Salary £20k-£25k
• 8 hour working day
• Weekend work available for Overtime
• Uniform and Personal Protective Equipment are provided
