Cleankill Pest Control and London Network for Pest Solutions (LNPS) were both able to celebrate after receiving the silver awards in their respective prize categories – Cleankill in the Sustainability category and LNPS in the Best Enterprising Business category.

Paul Bates, Managing Director of Cleankill Pest Control, said: “To be shortlisted for these prestigious awards was amazing and then to find we had won Silver was really fantastic.

"With the focus on London businesses, the competition was very strong but the judges recognised the progress that we are making to be as sustainable as possible and we clearly stood out from the crowd.

“Cleankill strives to differentiate itself from other pest control companies by operating in a way that limits the environmental impact of our services. The programme is also about making a small contribution to global carbon reduction and the issues facing our planet."

LNPS Managing Director Paul Cooper said: “We are really pleased to have won this award. We’re constantly looking at ways to improve and expand our services and it’s great to get recognition for this.

“In the last 12 months our new proofing service has helped to improve people’s quality of life by ridding their homes of pests more quickly and permanently.

“This innovation has brought in additional income while staff morale and job satisfaction has increased because the team can see they are making a real difference to people’s lives. In the next 12 months we plan to expand the team and proof even more homes in a wider area.”

Organised by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, these awards recognise the talent and dedication that is found in London’s small and medium-sized business community.

The winners were announced during a gala dinner on 8 February 2024 at the Park Plaza London Riverbank hotel.

Blueberry has been working with both Cleankill and LNPS for a number of years.

Like Suzi, both Paul Bates and Paul Cooper are former Rentokil employees. Alongside public relations work, the PR company has also helped both companies to win multiple awards at both the local and national level.

Commenting on the success, Suzi Christie said: “It’s wonderful to see two of our amazing clients do so well at these awards. It’s rare for our clients to meet at awards but, in this case, it was lovely that they both did so well in different categories.

"I do encourage other pest control companies to consider entering awards as there are wide-ranging benefits such as PR and networking and great content for social media.”
