LNPS bids farewell to long-serving technician

PRESS RELEASE

Newham-based London Network for Pest Solutions (LNPS) is toasting the retirement of Martin Lowther, after a long and distinguished career as a pest control technician.

Martin has worked with the LNPS team for five years and before that for seven years as a member of the in-house Newham Council pest control team.

During this time, Martin has built a solid reputation as a kind, caring and honest man with a genuine love of the community in which he lives and works.

Commenting on Martin’s decision to retire, Managing Director Paul Cooper said: “Martin has been with LNPS since the day we launched. His dedication to his job and his community is a true inspiration for people entering this industry.

"He has not only been a valued member of our team, providing exemplary pest control services to clients across the region, but he has also helped us to shape the way we operate as a business.

“Martin has never been anything less than a total team player. He has also never been backwards in offering praise, even to management, and you know that when Martin gives you praise it is because he really values your efforts.”

LNPS Director Pradeep Lawrence added: “Whenever I think of Martin two words come to mind – helpful and caring.

"Before the formation of LNPS, we worked together at the London Borough of Newham and every year Martin would always be the first to volunteer to do emergency cover in the period between Christmas and New Year. This came from his dedication to his community, his borough, and his colleagues.”

Martin’s decision to retire follows a period of ill health during which he had been forced to undergo several hospital procedures. However, each time he bounced back and quickly returned to work, helping the people of Newham stay pest-free.

British Pest Control Association and its members wish Martin all the best for an enjoyable retirement!
