HSE call for evidence on lead ammunition

Pest professionals are being asked to provide information to Health and Safety Executive (HSE), relating to the use of lead ammunition in parts of the UK.

HSE are gathering the information and evidence to support the development of a UK REACH report, focusing on risks of lead ammunition to the environment and human health in England, Scotland and Wales.

UK REACH came into force at the end of the EU exit transition period (31 December 2020) and regulates the access of chemicals to the GB market.

Under the Northern Ireland Protocol, EU REACH continues to regulate the access of chemicals to the Northern Ireland market.

What can I do?

The call for evidence is a series of survey questions available to fill in online

Make sure to provide as much information as possible and send it off before the 22 October deadline.
