Launched in April in partnership with Killgerm Chemicals, five golden tickets were placed on random tubs of BASF’s award-winning cholecalciferol rodenticide, Selontra. All tickets have now been found, and the five lucky winners named.

Those who joined BASF for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of its Pest Control Solutions Widnes factory were:

Each winner brought along a guest and were treated to an evening of dinner and celebrations with the BASF team following the tour.

The BASF factory, which recently marked its 75th anniversary, is renowned for pioneering research and development within the pest control industry, including the creation of Selontra, Neosorexa Plus and Storm Secure.

The winners had the rare opportunity to meet the experts behind these innovations and gain insight into the production process.

Commenting on the competition, Country Business Manager Laurence Barnard said:

“This was the first time we’ve held a competition like this, designed to be a bit of fun and offer pest controllers a sneak peek behind the scenes at the BASF factory.”

Laurence added “It’s very rare when we can take customers to the factory, so it was great to welcome the winners and put on a fantastic experience. As the Golden ticket campaign proved to be so popular, we’ll definitely look to run similar competitions in the future, so watch this space.”
