Steve will be working across the group’s four brands: Albany Pest Control, Guardian Legionella Services, NBC Environment and Safeguard Pest Control.

An ex-army warrant officer and highly experienced health and safety professional, he joins the pest control and legionella business after working in consultancy and in-house roles, including 10 years with engineering business Amey.

On taking up his new position, Steve commented: “As a rapidly expanding business, it’s important that we ensure we maintain consistently high standards across all four of our brands.

“This is my first role within pest control and I am keen to work with others across the industry and share insights from other sectors I have worked in, to help ensure that our industry is performing at the highest level when it comes to health, safety and compliance.”

Outside of the office, Steve, who lives in Bicester, Oxfordshire, is a keen golfer and a regular football player.

Welcoming Steve to Orkin UK, managing director Kristian Dales said: “Steve’s appointment is another important step in the development of the Orkin UK business.

"As we continue to grow our market share, a single and consistent approach to the way we manage key areas like H&S and compliance will be increasingly important.”

Since 2016, Orkin UK has been expanding its reach and expertise through strategic acquisitions. The combined businesses of Orkin UK make it the third largest pest control and legionella business in the country.
