The new consulting business will provide a broad range of services, including product development, category management, product strategy planning and product testing.

In his new independent venture, Tom will offer a variety of services, either on a consulting on contracting basis. Tom explained, saying:

“Having combined both product development process and activity with a skillset more typically associated with category management and marketing, I’m hugely excited to now be able to offer my services to the pest management sector, to help customers both maintain public health and grow their own businesses.

“I remain hugely proud of the product and service solutions that I helped deliver to the market with Pelsis. By always focusing upon customer needs, I spent much of my career not just delivering innovative, new products but understanding the evolving trends within markets.”

Tom spent 20 years working within the business, having originally joined P+L Systems as a product designer, before it became Pelsis in 2014. During this time most of his roles were focused upon leading product development and strategy, overseeing the launch of industry leading insect light traps, rodent control and bird management products.

Tom has also been very involved within the industry, working closely with a range of manufacturers and distributors, as well as getting hands-on with both professional pest controllers and end users.

This led to a position on the British Pest Control Association’s Executive Board, culminating as serving as President from 2017-19.
