Sussex-based Des Bone Limited was established on 1 July 1996, after Richard Bone moved on from the well-established Boxhill & Headley, following its sale to Terminix.

Launched in 1995, Cleankill Pest Control has grown year on year and now has several thousand clients throughout London, Bristol, Buckinghamshire, the South East and across the UK.

The company’s head office is in Croydon, Surrey, and it has offices in East Sussex, Bristol and Buckinghamshire.

Richard Bone commented on the changes, saying:

"After over 40 enjoyable years in the pest control industry, and 25 years of trading as Des Bone Limited, myself and Ann have decided that it is the right time to move to the next stage. On 1 March we are handing over the reins of the company to Cleankill Environmental Services Limited.

"Cleankill is a highly respected company within in the industry and provides a full spectrum of pest control and bird control services. They hold a wide range of health and safety accreditations, and are the only pest control company in the country to hold the Investors in People Gold standard."

He added, "Deborah and myself will be transferring to the new company and will remain available to our customers.  Administration will change, but the telephone number and website contact details will remain the same.

"It is an exciting time going into 2022 with Cleankill, as their strategy on providing a family-friendly service is similar to that of our own."
