CPD

As we’re sure you’re aware, from 1 January 2026, proof of competence rules for buying professional-use rodenticides are changing.

If you wish to continue purchasing and using these products, you’ll need to ensure that your training and CPD are up to date by the end of 2025.

Under the new requirements, sellers of professional-use rodenticides will only accept one of two proofs of competence:

  • A CRRU-UK approved training or qualification certificate issued within the last five years, OR
  • A CRRU-UK approved training or qualification certificate issued more than five years ago, current membership of a CRRU-UK approved CPD scheme (such as BPCA Registered) AND three CRRU-UK approved CPD points.

Keeping compliance simple on BPCA Registered

If you’re on BPCA Registered, you will automatically have access to a number of CRRU-UK-approved CPD activities within your online learning account. Once you have completed these, your points will automatically be recorded on your account.  You can access these resources through your BPCA Registered account by clicking on the Your Online Learning button. They’re completely free as part of your BPCA Registered membership.

For those who choose to collect their CRRU-UK-approved CPD from other sources, you will need to ensure that those points are registered with us on your behalf by your chosen training provider.

If you’re on BPCA Registered, you can take your three points of CRRU-UK-approved CPD from any training provider.

Karen Dawes, BPCA Training and Development Manager, said:

“Getting your CRRU-UK-approved CPD points sorted couldn’t be simpler if you’re on BPCA Registered.

“The free resources in your online learning portal tick every box, so you don’t need to worry about hunting around for CRRU-UK-approved CPD.
